The Greenshank is found around coastal areas and in the margins of inland lakes where it feeds on aquatic creatures. A regular passsage migrant and winter visitor to the Algarve, it breeds on open taiga across Europe and Asia.. The specimens on this page were photographed at Cabanas De Tavira.
