Violaceae Gallery - wildflowers of the Pansy family

The Pansy family of plants, violaceae, is a group of more than 800 species in 25 genera worldwide. Only one genus, Viola, occurs in Britain and Ireland. The flowers, which are often mixtures of blue, white and yellow, usually have five unequal petals and five sepals.
